There's only a little under a month left of summer, which could be positive for some, and a little bit of a bummer for others. As much as your sun-filled beach days are drawing to a close, it means pre-fall fashion is starting to be seen in stores - that is the good part! The weather may be getting cooler, but the fashion sure is getting hotter.
Below, I put a few looks together that I feel would be great for pre-fall fashion because they're trendy, fun, and effortless.
Look 1)
This outfit that I put together, with some additional makeup that I think would really make this look pop, really reflects my current style at the moment. It's a great look for a night out on the town with your girls, or a date night. The Alice + Olivia jacket, paired with the spiked Louboutin's adds edge to the outfit, while the ELF lipstick adds a sexy, gothic, vampy appeal. The Miss Manga mascara is fantastic as it creates long, thickly grouped lashes that open up the eyes, and to top off the look, a trendy hat and a gold bangle. Plus, the jumpsuit is easy, comfy and on-trend, with the lace neckline softening the look. The jumpsuit is a great piece to have in your wardrobe because it's perfect for transitioning from summer to fall, as it could be worn without a jacket, tank top and all, or with a jacket for those chillier days.
The pieces featured are:
- Forever 21 Crocheted Woven Jumpsuit
- Forever 21 Floppy Wide Brim Fedora
- Alice + Olivia Amaya Leather Slim Collarless Blazer
- Christian Louboutin Spike Peep Toe Heel
- Stairwell stretch cuff
- E.L.F mineral lipstick in "ripe rose" #6709
- L'Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga mascara
Look 2)
This look that I created takes on more of a laid back attitude, which is especially seen with the loose-fitting distressed boyfriend jeans, which are super hot this season. The plaid shirt salutes one of the best movies that came out this summer, The Lego Movie, with its title track by Tegan and Sara, "Everything Is Awesome." Paired with a plain tank (it avoids clashing with the plaid flannel). The look is easy to throw on, and takes on a bit of a sexier look, versus a lazy, sloppy one with the platform sandals. The slouchy Marc Jacobs purse ties the look all together while looking chic, but casual all at once. Plus, black is a good colour because it can be worn all year round, so the bag doesn't have to be stored away in your closet once winter shows up knocking on your front door.
The pieces featured are:
- Rag & Bone boyfriend jean
- Everything Is Awesome Shirt (from Etsy.com, user: bambiFalana)
- Victoria's Secret Sexy Cami
- Jeffrey Campbell Foxy Platform
- Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Natasha purse
Look 3)
This pre fall look takes the high-waisted pants trend over to the short side. Since it's still summer, get all those shorts out of your system, but pair it with a lightweight sweater for those chillier days. The Wildfox sweater is a great transition piece because it is so lightweight, but it can still be worn in the winter with some layers too. The thigh-high socks with the oxfords give the outfit a more polished look, and the shoes can be worn right through fall as well. But it's not all about fall just yet; the metallic backpack still captured the fun essence of summer. Finish the look off with a sleek cat eye and sexy red lipstick.
The pieces featured are:
- Wildfox Night Owl Lenon Sweater
- American Apparel High-Waisted Shorts
- basic thigh high socks
- American Apparel Hologram Silver Laser Backpack
- silver bangle from shop4silver.co.uk
- Topshop Kara Chain Loafers
- L'Oreal Paris Infallible Super Slim Liner in black
- MAC lipstick, Pedro Lourenco line in "ruby"
